Help Create a New Economy

One that supports all people, of all races, disabled and old, AND our Planet

The New Economy - has a nice ring to it doesn't it? Our present economies just don't work do they? Well, you know it all; the rich get richer, the poor get poorer, millions of people starve to death while restaurants throw good food in the garbage, corporations and banks run nations, our planet is the corporations' garbage dump, our wildlife is rapidly losing its habitat etc etc

Sometimes, I just don't think that a government could come up with real fundamental changes that would benefit the people who didn't make the rules. That would mean radical changes and the rich just might not end up so rich anymore. But if the rule-makers are the rich, they aren't going to do that.

If you would like to read some powerful words from Warren Buffett on this matter, have a read of his suggestions for a New Economy.

So I believe the only way to come up with a New Economy that benefits everyone, is to hear it from the people. There are many economists outside of government who have some brilliant ideas. I don't know about you but I would like to hear them.

I would love to hear your ideas on what a new sustainable economy would look like too. So if you have any you would like to share, then please used the form below to do so. If enough people do this, then I can publish on this website, the collated ideas for everyone to read.

Then you can forward that collated page to your members of parliament or government and who knows what might happen. It is time they heard what the people want.

When was the last time your government heard what you want?

In light of the recent uprisings in the Middle East and in London (2011), governments just might be beginning to listen to what people want, especially if the message is delivered in an intelligent and reasonable format.

"With great respect to those who assert the so-called ‘primacy’ of key social and economic goals (such as the elimination of poverty or the attainment of universal human rights), it must be said loud and clear that these are secondary goals.

All else is conditional upon learning to live sustainably within the Earth’s systems and limits.

Not only is the pursuit of biophysical sustainability non-negotiable; it’s preconditional."

What are your ideas for creating a new sustainable, equitable economy?

Submit the answers to my questions here and I will publish the original/appropriate ones in a New Economy Manifesto. We the people make change happen.
