Why Go Green?

Step Up and Catch on to a
New Way of Living and Doing Business

So why go green?

  • Save the Planet!
  • Reduce pollution, you and everyone else needs fresh air for life and health;
  • Ensure you, your children, and all creatures have clean water to drink;
  • Conserve our wildlife which is so unique to our planet;
  • Save money! Reduce your energy costs by investing in alternative energy. Frugal living will save you money and fulfill all of the above.
  • If you don't Go Green now, you will be forced to do it later. I live in Australia and we now have a Carbon Tax. Businesses are going green because they will pay larger taxes if they don't.  And even if you don't have a business, you may still qualify for rebates when you file with TurboTax.
  • Evolve on Purpose alongside the frontrunners of the
    Green Revolution
    . If you don't you WILL be left behind! It really will be easier to start implementing changes in your lifestyle now rather than waiting to be hit over the head with it and being forced to change everything at once.

We have all read and heard about doing our bit for our health and our planet. Of course we all begin this process at home. It is all about reducing our ecological footprint, and one way to do this is to use eco friendly products. It is one of the first ways to go green I can recommend.

As we have all heard by now, our beautiful planet is struggling under the weight of chemicals and pollution that have poisoned our environment; and we ourselves are struggling with the effects of those chemicals in our homes, our food, and our own bodies.

It is easy to reduce that impact by choosing to use eco friendly products; choose a natural health alternative instead of filling yourself full of drugs when there may be no need for such strong intervention, and all
natural beauty products.

Many Modern Interior Design Ideas are about saving you money on your utility bills and preventing you from harming your health by living in a
sick house. Modern Interior Design is also tending more towards sustainability - i.e. using eco-friendly and fair-trade products.

But even after you have your wonderful make-over or your green home built, then the Going Green journey begins in earnest. It is a way of life, this living green; one that you will cherish and pass on a legacy of life to your children.

In the meanwhile, here are a couple of very interesting facts, just to get you thinking...

  • If every household in the nation swapped just one roll of traditional toilet paper for one made with recycled paper, the effort could save 424,000 trees, according to the Natural Resources Defense Council. The environmental group has created a shopper's guide to recycled paper products.
  • Green building remains the star in an otherwise sluggish U.S. real estate market as companies and homeowners are looking for ways to lower their utility bills.
    It now accounts for nearly one-third of new U.S. construction, up from 2% in 2005, according to a recent (2010) report by NPR, which cites industry data from McGraw-Hill Construction. The story attributes much of that success to the private U.S. Green Building Council, begun in 1993.
    The Washington-based USGBC runs one of dozens of green-rating programs in the United States, but its LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) program dominates the commercial sector and is one of the strictest in the residential market.
